QSC has added a range of column surface-mount loudspeakers to its AcousticDesign (AD) Series. Ideal for a wide variety of foreground and background applications, the new columns are particularly suited to difficult acoustic environments with reverberation issues or high-ceiling spaces.

The new AD-S802T has eight 2.5-inch vertically-oriented drivers while the AD-S162T has sixteen 2.5-inch vertically-oriented drivers, both are high quality, 70/100V or 8Ω bypass, full-range systems. They come equipped with a unique pan/tilt mounting system that offers multiple positioning locations, allowing the loudspeaker to remain close to the wall while offering the flexibility to deliver up to a -20° downward tilt. This makes installation quick and easy and reduces ‘ladder’ time.

Representing a natural evolution of the AcousticDesign Series the new column surface-mount loudspeakers shares the same sleek unobtrusive appearance as the rest of the line allowing them to blend with room aesthetics. In addition, they exhibit the same robust environmental qualities associated with all AcousticDesign surface-mount models making them ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
