About the Role
Are you passionate about cutting-edge Audio Visual (AV) technology and eager to lead a talented team in delivering exceptional AV solutions? UTS is seeking an experienced and dynamic AV Engineering Manager to take charge of our AV infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with the University’s strategic goals and operational needs. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and enhancing the AV landscape across the UTS campus while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
About You
As the AV Engineering Manager, you will focus on leading and mentoring your team to deliver high-quality AV solutions that align with UTS’s strategic vision. A key part of your role will be building strong stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs, and translating these into innovative AV strategies. You will oversee the integration of cutting-edge AV technologies, ensuring systems are robust, reliable, and meet compliance standards. Effective vendor and contractor management will be crucial to maintaining cost-efficient and high-quality outcomes.
Finally, you will drive continuous improvement across AV operations, ensuring the infrastructure evolves to meet current and future requirements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Technical Expertise: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in AV engineering and a deep understanding of AV system design,implementation, and maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: A mindset focused on process optimisation, with experience implementing and sustaining enhancements.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of AV specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, with experience prioritising and delivering multiple projectseffectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders, including faculties, IT teams, vendors andcontractors.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and identifying cost-effective AV solutions without compromising quality.
- Governance and Compliance: A commitment to aligning activities with UTS policies, IT objectives, and regulatory standards.
- Cybersecurity Awareness: Experience in maintaining cybersecurity controls and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks.
Remuneration
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
