Humly, a workplace experience company with more than a decade of innovation for modernizing business environments, has laid the foundation for a multi-phase development strategy for sensor development and integration through a burgeoning strategic partnership with Disruptive Technology. Humly officially entered a research and development alliance with the Norwegian-based innovator and supplier of ultra-compact wireless IoT sensors last year, the first of which have found their way into Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display, Humly’s award-winning premium hardware devices.

The two companies joined forces with the goal transforming modern office environments through enhanced intelligence, sustainability, and user-centric design. The collaboration integrates Disruptive Technologies’ award-winning sensors—known for their 15-year battery life and effortless peel-and-stick installation—with Humly’s comprehensive workplace platform, which includes room displays, booking devices, wayfinding tools, and the new Humly Sense sensor integration platform announced last month.

To be introduced at InfoComm next week, Humly Sense is a sensing gateway that establishes an open API channel of communication between other open devices. Humly Sense can receive and process data from any open device upon triggering its API, empowering new automated features in Humly products that help organizations build smarter, healthier and more efficient workspaces.

Visitors to Humly’s InfoComm booth (4981) can see working demonstrations of Humly Sense enabling real-time presentations of occupancy tracking and environmental monitoring information, driven through Disruptive’s wireless motion and wireless CO2 sensors. “Technology should be helpful and never intrusive,” said Viking Roald, Business Development Executive, Nordics for Disruptive Technologies. “By integrating Disruptive Technologies’ sensors into Humly’s ecosystem, businesses, schools and other users can become more responsive and sustainable, all while maintaining a seamless user experience.”

“The partnership between Humly and Disruptive Technologies is poised to set a new standard in workplace technology, offering solutions that are not only intelligent and efficient but also aligned with global sustainability goals,” said Anders Karlsson, CEO, Humly. “Together we are also building an open ecosystem where other third-party products can integrate with, and from which we also can make the data aggregate available to all involved for the greater good of the surrounding environment.”
