Rise AV: for Women in the Industry

Led by Managing Director Rachael Hamilton, Rise AV is a community focused on gender diversity and professional development for women in the AV industry. Its mission is to attract and retain female talent, break down barriers to career progression, improve representation, and help the wider AV community understand the benefits of a more inclusive and diverse workforce.

Rise AV is excited to be launching the Rise AV Mentoring Programme in APAC next year, with the support of QSC. This is a free, six-month initiative designed to empower and support women in AV through:

• one-to-one mentoring with experienced industry professionals
• targeted skills development
• networking and community-building opportunities

The programme has been a great success in the UK this year, following in the footsteps of a sister organisation, Rise Broadcast, which has run similar programmes globally—including across APAC—for over ten years, mentoring more than 4,000 women to date.

Rise AV is also forming an APAC Advisory Board, chaired by Peter Hunt at Hewshott, and is keen to collaborate with key partners to help reach as many women as possible across the region.
