About The Role
Join Swinburne’s Digital Workplace Experience team and help deliver exceptional technology experiences across our learning, meeting and event spaces.
You will provide technical support across learning, meeting, and event spaces at the University and VE divisions. This position requires expertise in providing level 3 and 4 AV support, while also delivering specialist support for live, hybrid, and virtual events. Training and assistance for internal and external customers are key aspects of the role.
In addition, this role involves commissioning new audiovisual deployments, maintaining and configuring educational technologies, and ensuring AV solutions align with Swinburne’s standards. The specialist will also analyse data from remote management infrastructure to recommend technology upgrades and oversee lifecycle refresh audits that lead to learning space upgrades and new building projects.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Commitment to industry Certifications (Preferred: AVIXA (ANP, SynAudCon), Crestron & XiO, Dante, Biamp, Sennheiser)
- Proven knowledge and demonstrated application of AV infrastructure management, commissioning, and support of AV technologies (e.g, Crestron & XiO, Dante, Biamp, Epson, Lightware & Sennheiser)
- Extensive experience in the management and support of live events and hybrid streaming events
- Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies in the AV and educational technology and provide expert advice as appropriate.
- Provide training and ongoing support to university staff for installed educational technology, AV solutions and other AV equipment.
- Ensure appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in AV systems and services utilising AV remote management infrastructure systems.
- Maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with IT staff, Swinburne academics, operational teams, suppliers and other 3rd parties.

A relevant technical degree with subsequent relevant experience; or experience in an AV technical field.
