Allen & Heath has released the Qu-3 and Qu-3D, compact desktop digital mixers that bring the full Qu feature set into a smaller format.

Both models are 36-input / 24-output consoles running at 96kHz on Allen & Heath’s XCVI FPGA core. They offer fully flexible patching across six customisable layers, a redesigned user interface, and significant hardware upgrades over previous Qu models.

The XCVI core makes the new Qu DEEP Processing ready, allowing the use of processing add-ons from the dLive platform. The mixers also include the Feedback Assistant and Gain Assistant from the CQ series.

Recording and playback options include a 32×32 USB-C audio interface, 32-channel multitrack recording via SD card, and stereo recording/playback through the USB-A port. An SLink port provides connection to Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O expanders and supports up to 128×128 channels of 96kHz audio when linked to other Allen & Heath consoles.

The Qu-3D adds a built-in 16×16 Dante interface operating at 96kHz or 48kHz, with an optional upgrade to 32×32 channels. Both models feature a 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer, assignable SoftKeys, and remote control via the free Qu-MixPad and Qu4You apps for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS.

The Qu-3 and Qu-3D are available in Australia now.
RRP: Qu-3: A$4299 | Qu-3D A$4799
