Asserting that the creative capabilities of its groundbreaking real-time, responsive multimedia platform deserve to be available to the widest possible audience of system designers, AV integrators, and content developers, Realmotion announced it will introduce the Realmotion Engine software at InfoComm 2024 at Booth #W558 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The software will be available this summer.

According to Realmotion Founder and Principal Alexandre Simionescu, the decision to introduce a software-only version of its core technology comes in response to a growing demand to extend the capabilities of Realmotion to clients that prefer to manage and support their own hardware.

“Realmotion technology was built to support interactive and generative content for audiovisual installations and responsive multimedia environments of all forms,” Simionescu said today.

“With over a decade of development, Realmotion has become a software solution that is trusted to create, deliver, and operate responsive multimedia environments,” he emphasized. “With the launch of Realmotion Engine, these capabilities will empower even more users to go beyond pixels to create tailored audiovisual experiences.”

Some of Realmotion’s stand-out installations include the MCO Moment Vault in Orlando, the LAX Time Tower in Los Angeles, the Statue of Liberty Museum in New York, the Sofitel Paris Hotel, Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas, the Welcome Wall at the One World Observatory in New York, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, and the TD Union Station in Toronto, among many others. The company’s partners include Smart Monkeys, Electrosonic, and ISAAC, among others.

At its core, Realmotion Engine is a versatile spatial computing software platform built by game engine developers to handle both dynamic, interactive elements in real-time as well as linear video content. Integrated with a range of commercial-grade sensors and content creation platforms, it offers unparalleled flexibility, performance, and reliability needed for projects of all scales.

One of Realmotion Engine’s key strengths is its ability to integrate sensor data, media outputs, media playback, lighting management, and content management through one scalable software. Users can seamlessly layer various features and technologies to develop dynamic outputs tailored to their specific needs, effectively optimizing production workflows, and reducing operational costs by lessening the need for multiple platforms, systems, and tools.

Realmotion Engine is strategically positioned to be leveraged fully in a wide variety of use cases, including interactive digital experiences, projection mapping, digital art installations, broadcast, live event venues, activations, digital signage, as well as theme based entertainment, and location based entertainment.

Realmotion Engine’s key performance differentiators include its real-time rendering capabilities, wide range of sensor integration, real-time media support (Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, Notch, Unity), uncompressed video playback, scripting, CMS, and Show Control integration. These key features enable users to greatly simplify the structure of AV installations and, thus, reduce the cost of ownership and operation.

“Realmotion’s mission is to empower owners, operators and creators across various industries to prototype and execute media rich projects, spanning from rental and staging to broadcast and permanent installations,” Simionescu continued. “For AV integrators, system designers, and content developers, Realmotion Engine presents an indispensable tool set. Its ability to scale and adapt to a range of use cases embodies our vision of a future where AV products are provided as software and not only on-premises but also through cloud-based implementations.”
