AIRPUL ARRIVES

Adimex has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for Airpul in Australia and New Zealand. A new player in broadcast technology, the US-based Airpul provides wireless audio and video transmission solutions for the broadcast industry, including transmitter and receiver products that allow HD cameras to transmit wirelessly over long distances.

“We introduced Airpul to one of our key resellers early in the evaluation cycle,” says Adimex sales manager Frank Nicolaci. “They put the Airpul through its paces and were impressed with the transmission distance, reliability, near-zero latency and the price. Their vote of confidence was instrumental in Admimex moving forward with the distribution, as we then knew our channel would be confident recommending Airpul to their customers.”

Nicolaci says he will work closely with leading broadcast and professional AV and ICT resellers and integrators to develop opportunities for the brand. It already boasts a significant international distribution channel based on performance and lower cost, with deals now in place in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the US, UK, Brazil and the Arab Emirates.

Product Overview

The Airpul Wireless Transmission packages provide wireless transmission of HD video signals in the 5GHz range. The AC8231 system is capable of a transmission distance to around 200m (clear line of sight). That distance can increase to around 600m clear line with the optional Panel Antenna for the AC8262 receiver. Both transmission systems are quick to set up and take moments to auto pair with auto and manual frequency and power output selection.

The AC8231 Transmitter has built-in V-Locks for camera and external battery power. The AC6151 has built-in battery for the transmitter and is equipped with a hot-shoe mount. All menu functions are intuitive and displayed on a clear OLED screen. The AC8231 system also includes two colour tally and is capable of multicast with optional AC8231 transmitters. There is a USB port for future firmware upgrades.
