LOUD APPOINTS MACKIE ENTHUSIAST FOR APAC

Loud Technologies Music Gear Group in Singapore has appointed Jason Tan to the position of product specialist for its Mackie brand in the APAC region.
Tan joins Loud after more than 20 years in the professional audio industry. In addition to a lengthy career in live sound and recording, he founded Eastwardaudio, one of the region’s major production facilities, where he oversaw productions for Sony BMG, EMI and other labels, as well as corporate clients including Coca Cola, Lexus and Hitachi. Singapore’s National Arts Council also appointed Tan as a mentor to their youth music programme.
“He brings a wealth of pro audio experience to the table, from both a distribution and an audio engineering/production perspective,” says Loud director Rohan Smith. “His technical and training expertise is first class. I am confident he will add significant value to all of our distribution partners’ businesses as we drive forward with new, ground breaking products.”
Tan adds, “I’ve used Mackie and Ampeg products since I began making music. I can’t remember how many hours I’ve spend making and mixing music with Mackie gear. It’s fantastic working for a company at the forefront of pro audio technology. I’m looking forward to supporting the events and activities of Mackie’s great partners in the region.”
Tan will be based in Singapore.
