TASkeno has deployed Fusion Signage’s digital content management platform across more than 180 screens in over 130 Tasmanian venues, transforming how the brand communicates jackpots, promotions and gameplay information in-venue while dramatically reducing print reliance.

The rollout follows TASkeno’s operating system upgrade, which removed its previous path for near‑real‑time jackpot notifications to venue screens. At the same time, frequent state-wide promotion changes had their team printing and replacing large volumes of point‑of‑sale posters.

“We needed a centrally managed, flexible way to create and deliver TASkeno‑aligned content to every venue, grouped by campaign and screen orientation and with the uptime visibility our operations team expects,” said Josie Kerslake, Operations Manager at TASkeno. “Fusion Signage gave us that control and more.”

What TASkeno needed

  • Create once, publish everywhere: produce brand‑consistent content in-house and distribute by venue group, campaign and screen orientation – portrait and landscape.
  • Operational visibility: simple backend access to monitor screen health, identify outages and resolve quickly.
  • Scheduling at scale: align time‑bound promotions and information to specific venues and time windows, with multiple concurrent content streams.
  • Asset management: per‑screen asset IDs and meaningful naming for fast administration.

How Fusion Signage delivered and continues to deliver

  • Centralised content control: TASkeno’s Graphic Design & Digital Communications team builds monthly content packages from “how to play” explainers to promotions and jackpot highlights, then schedules releases by venue groups and time frames.
  • Flexible grouping and live checks: screens can be moved between groups in seconds and staff can verify live content on any device at any time.
  • Proactive uptime monitoring: offline alerts and screen status views enable rapid triage and support.
  • Measurable cost reduction: digital distribution has “heavily reduced” printed POS volumes across the estate.

What began as a one‑to‑two‑screen plan per venue has expanded as demand grew for the bright, vibrant displays showcasing Keno information, promotion details, gameplay guidance and where jackpots were won.

“Our venues and customers love these new screens,” said Kerslake. “They’re engaging, informative and keep the Keno experience front‑of‑mind.”

Day‑to‑day workflows

  • Morning ops check: TASkeno reviews any offline screens and coordinates rectification or on‑site service.
  • Content cadence: weekly template updates and new creative for promotions and monthly jackpots, scheduled ahead of time.
  • Quality assurance: all new content is previewed on a dedicated test unit at head office prior to venue release.

TASkeno also credits Fusion Signage and distribution partner Office Solutions for responsive rollout support from pre‑imaged devices and timely provisioning to regional staging for northern venues.

“Fusion Signage and Office Solutions are highly responsive typically within hours by email, text or phone,” Kerslake noted. “There’s also a wealth of online resources and templates, so even teams without an in‑house designer can deliver strong content.”

Looking ahead, TASkeno and Fusion Signage are collaborating on a suitable solution for near‑real‑time jackpot messaging with TASkeno eager to trial Fusion’s forthcoming “interrupt” feature to prioritise urgent or time‑sensitive content without disrupting scheduled playlists.

Why it matters for the users of digital signage

  • Template‑driven velocity: built‑in templates lower the creative barrier for multi‑venue estates.
  • Granular orchestration: groups, scheduling and asset naming streamline fleet‑wide operations.
  • Operations‑grade visibility: health monitoring shortens detection‑to‑resolution windows.
  • Vendor engagement: A product team actively iterating with customer input accelerates roadmap fit.

Josie Kerslake concluded, “The owners of Fusion Signage are genuinely interested in how you want to use their platform. As a result, they are quick to improve, redesign or develop features that enhance the experience. We are genuinely looking forward to seeing the future designs for Fusion Signage solutions.”
