
Audio Visual Programmer

Your new role
- Develop, test, and deploy AV control system code
- Design, deploy and tune DSP systems
- Build modern and consistent UI/UX
- Configure networks for AV (VLANs, QoS, multicast, IGMP, device security)
- Reading and interpreting AV schematics and cable schedules, then programming systems to match design intent
- System testing, optimisation, documentation, and packaging prior to deployment
- Commission endpoints: switchers, matrices, codecs, mics, amps, speakers, cameras
- Validate system performance against design outcomes and client expectations
- Create and maintain documentation and version control (Git)
- Provide remote support and escalate with clear diagnostics
- Participate in UAT and training sessions, and end-user handovers

Your experience
- Experience working for an AV integrator and understanding of the project life cycle
- AV control/DSP programming (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, AMX, Biamp etc.)
- Strong AV commissioning skills: gain structure, EQ, room tuning, video signal paths, EDID/HDCP, USB, UC integration (Teams/Zoom)
- Ability to read schematics and cable schedules and turn them into fully functioning systems
- Networking knowledge relevant to AV Systems
- Knowledge of key AV and IT protocols: NDI, Multicast Video, DMX, Art-Net, sACN, AES67, Dante, TCP/IP
- Reading schematics and turning designs into working systems
- Solid documentation habits and use of version control
Nice to have:
- Drafting CAD/Visio experience
- Experience in Live Audio, Production Lighting, Event Video and Show Control
- Experience with Rational Acoustics SMAART
- Industry certifications: AVIXA CTS, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+
- Vendor certifications: Programming and commissioning qualifications from Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, or similar
- Programming languages: C#, HTML5, Python, or similar
