About the role
Join the dynamic team at Lux Productions’ as a full-time Audio Visual Technician based in Mount Roskill, Auckland. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, operating and troubleshooting of cutting-edge audio-visual equipment to support a range of high-profile events and productions.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing technical support and maintenance for audio, video, lighting and presentation systems
- Setting up, testing and operating AV equipment for events, including lighting, rigging, microphones, speakers, projectors and screens
- Programming and operating live shows
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly to ensure seamless event delivery
- Conducting regular checks and preventative maintenance on AV equipment
- Collaborating with the production team to understand technical requirements and provide expert recommendations
- Maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records
- Participating in team training to expand your technical skills and knowledge
What we’re looking for
- 2-3 years’ experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar technical role however we are also looking for keen and self motivating juniors too!
- Strong working knowledge of AV equipment, including audio, video, lighting and presentation systems with a natural passion for AV and events
- Hands-on experience with the setup, operation and maintenance of a variety of AV equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work methodically and accurately
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with the production team, other suppliers and clients
- A passion for the latest audio-visual technologies and a desire to continuously learn and develop your skills
- Class 2 driving license is a plus
- Experience with the Onyx lighting and Allen & Heath console platforms on live events
- Experience with rigging truss and hoists is a bonus
