We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as a key technical resource, bridging the gap between our engineering team and customers. This role involves providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, product training and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, addressing enquiries and resolving issues related to SOLUM products.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase SOLUM’s capabilities and advantages, ensuring a thorough understanding of our solutions by clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions that enhance customer experience and drive sales.
  • Training and Education: Organise and deliver training sessions for customers and internal staff on product usage, features, and best practices.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback and insights to relay to the product development team, contributing to continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including application notes, FAQs, and user guides to support customer understanding and product usage. Maintain a robust record of current works in progress providing weekly updates to the sales team.
  • Field Visits: Travel to customer sites as needed to provide hands-on support, assess installations, and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical support or applications engineering role, preferably within Electronic Shelf Labels.
  • Strong understanding of relevant technologies, products, and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams based locally and internationally.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and training sessions.
