About the Role

If you are a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with technical sales experience in the Broadcast, Production, or AV industry, D2N—Technology Solutions has an opportunity that could be perfect for you!

We seek a Technical Sales Executive to expand our revenue in the ANZ region. Specifically, this role will focus on Broadcast and Professional video and audio solutions, including SMPTE 2110, NDI, IP and baseband audio and video. You will also work alongside our other salesperson who looks after Rf systems and Production Intercom.

You will play a vital role in driving sales and revenue growth for our company by promoting and selling our technical products and services to prospective clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact between our organisation and potential customers, understanding their needs, providing technical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements. This position requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, sales skills, and customer relationship management.

You will work with brands such as Calrec, Shure, Sennheiser, Sound Devices, AIDA, Kiloview, Science Image, Sienna NDI, TVU Networks, and Matrox.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Identify and qualify new business opportunities by researching and prospecting potential clients, generating leads through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
  2. Present and demonstrate our technical products and services to clients, highlighting key features and benefits and articulating how they can address customer challenges and improve business operations.
  3. Collaborate with our product support and marketing team to develop and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and solution demonstrations that align with customer needs and requirements.
  4. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sale to close deals and secure new business opportunities while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  6. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and new technologies to anticipate customer needs and proactively identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.
  7. Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics through effective pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and regular reporting on sales activities, opportunities, and results.

Minimum Criteria required:

  • Fifteen years of experience supporting the above-mentioned technologies in the broadcast, production, and AV industries.
  • Formal qualifications in business management, sales and or marketing.
  • A creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside the box
  • Flexible, organised and able to manage timelines efficiently with exceptional project management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent personal presentation and professional attitude

The starting salary will be $120k plus super, phone, car allowance, and a generous, uncapped commission structure! The right person motivated to sell could easily make well over $200k in this role.
