InfoComm’s APEx program was created in 2014 to recognise AV integration companies and design consulting firms that set high standards for employee training and certification and meet their clients’ needs by delivering exceptional solutions.

The new APEx Advocate program is designed for manufacturers to support APEx systems integrators through promotional consideration, outreach and preferential services. APEx Advocates commit to promoting APEx integrators and consultants in their marketing and dealer training programs. The first class of APEx Advocates includes Belden, Crestron, FSR, Hall Research, Peavey and RGB Spectrum.

“Crestron is signing on to the be one of the first APEx Advocates because we support a more qualified integrator workforce,” said Dave Silberstein, Director of Inside Sales, Crestron Electronics, and InfoComm Manufacturers Council chair. “We encourage our integrators to earn the APEx designation because it proves that they believe in quality, and it ensures that our products will be shown and configured to their true potential.”

Manufacturers have a vested interest in making sure their products are integrated correctly and up to the highest possible quality standards. When problems occur with an AV system, a dissatisfied customer’s first call is often to the equipment maker. Systems that are designed and installed correctly – by companies that are committed to excellence – benefit manufacturers by reducing services calls and equipment returns.

“Like APEx integrators and consultants, APEx Advocates are champions of industry quality, devoting time and resources to supporting companies that prioritise superior customer satisfaction, training and certification,” said Betsy Jaffe. Senior Vice President of Member Services, InfoComm International. “We are proud of the companies that have committed to the APEx program, which ensures our industry continues to advance.”
