iPHONE-SIZED OLED MONITOR

French pro monitor maker Transvideo has released StarliteHD, an OLED field monitor the size of a smartphone and weighing 190g that also records H.264 dailies onto SD cards, take snapshots and generates PDFs with metadata from Arri and Sony cameras at each take.

Despite its compact form factor, Starlite HD is a professional high-end 3G-SDI field monitor with built-in tools including a high-resolution waveform monitor, a precision vectorscope and a touchscreen panel. The housing is rugged and machined in avionics aluminium, and accessories include battery holders, a sun hood, loupe and transportation cover, all with magnetic fastening. Early next year will also see delivery of a SmartliteHD-RF version.
