NEW VIEWSONIC DISPLAYS INCLUDE MEDIA PLAYERS

ViewSonic is shipping new all-in-one commercial displays for digital signage with built-in media players. The CDE5500-L and CDE6500-L models simplify content loading, scheduling and management by enabling USB playback of multimedia files, eliminating the need for external PCs and media players.
“With commercial customers looking for easy to setup, cost-effective large format displays, these new CDE commercial displays deliver amazing performance with greater reliability than consumer TVs,” says ViewSonic Asia Pacific director Max Hsu.
The models offer versatile connectivity with multi-digital inputs for easy installation and control of a variety of devices. Support for RS232 with IR pass-through and HDMI CEC pass-through provide easy management and control of multiple-display installations that employ HD set-top boxes and media players.
A slim, symmetrical bezel design allows custom installation in portrait or landscape orientation, and both displays are equipped with VESA-compatible wall mounts for further flexibility in commercial environments, along with dual integrated speakers.
The company says applications include advertising, menu-boards, classroom and medical displays, in hospitality and retail, corporate, government, educational and healthcare settings.
