PREMIUM BROADCAST HEADSETS FROM AUDIO-TECHNICA

Audio-Technica has released the BPHS2 headset range created specially to meet the needs of news and sports broadcasters. Based on the ATH-M60x pro monitor headphone chassis the BPHS2 is a closed-back, on-ear type delivering premium quality audio via the same 45mm large-aperture drivers Audio-Technica uses in its ATH-M50x.

The three-model range includes BPHS2 stereo headset with hyper cardioid dynamic mic., BPHS2S single-ear version, and BPHS2C stereo headset with a condenser mic. Premium memory foam earpads and headband provide exceptional comfort for extended sessions and detach for easy replacement.

The high-output, hyper cardioid dynamic microphone was created for news and sports broadcasting and delivers highly intelligible and commanding vocals keeping the pickup focused on the broadcaster’s voice, even in loud environments, and is tailored to reproduce that voice with a rich, broadcast-ready sound.

The microphone is mounted on a rigid boom with a strong, flexible gooseneck section. The boom swivels forward and back so that the headset can be worn with the mic positioned on either right or left.

The BPHS2C cardioid condenser microphone version is identical to the standard dynamic mic versions but with a lower profile capsule design and with a little added audio articulation and fidelity.

All models come with a 3.3m detachable cable terminated with a TA6F connector at the headset end and three-pin XLRM and 6.3mm (1/4-inch) connectors at the other end. An optional unterminated cable is also available.

The BPHS2 range is available immediately and will retail in Australia for BPHS2: $499, BPHS2S: $469 and BPHS2C: $599.
