About the Role

As the Key Account Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with key national retailers in New Zealand. You will drive JBL brand performance across consumer audio, portable speakers, headphones, soundbars, gaming and smart home products. Your primary objective is to maximise sales, margin, and market share through strong joint business planning, data-led decision making, and best-in-class execution.

You’ll work closely with marketing, supply chain, trade marketing, and global stakeholders to ensure JBL maintains its leadership position in an increasingly competitive market.

What You Will Do

·       Responsible for the management and development of key accounts, ensuring strong relationships and high levels of customer communication and satisfaction.

·       Prepare sales reports, presentations, and proposals to support the sales team.

·       Assist in tracking performance metrics against sales targets and forecasts.

·       Act as the primary contact for key clients, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently.

·       Maintain a consistent meeting cadence with clients and participate in retailer staff education sessions.

·       Conduct market research and dissect market data to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities within the consumer electronics sector to grow our business and market share.

·       Develop effective retail channel marketing campaigns that raise brand awareness and sales conversion with key accounts.

·       Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Harman products and industry trends to effectively communicate with clients and train retail staff.

·       Help process orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of products to clients.

·       Submit, track and approve retailer claims to support sell-through and increase sales.

·       Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.

What You Need to Be Successful

·       3+ years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

·       Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Bonus Points if You Have

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
