Kickstart Your Career in AV — Real Growth, Real Opportunity

Vega Technology Global Ausralia is a growing AV systems integration and managed services company delivering high-profile commercial AV projects Nationally — from corporate boardrooms to large-scale building fitouts. We’re expanding, and we’re looking for an AV Installation Technician who wants to build a long-term career in the industry, not just fill a role.

This is a genuine opportunity to develop your skills under experienced Lead Technicians and Project Managers, take on increasing responsibility as you grow, and progress into senior technician, lead, or project delivery roles as the business scales. If you’re early in your AV career and looking for a company that will invest in you and give you a real pathway up, this is it.

What You’ll Be Doing

•       Assist in the physical installation of audio-visual equipment including displays, video wall systems, mounts, projectors, loudspeakers, amplifiers, signal distribution hardware, control processors, and associated cabling infrastructure.

•       Install, pull, dress, terminate, and label cabling (CAT6, fibre optic, HDMI, HDBaseT, SpeakOn, XLR, and low-voltage control cabling) to a high standard and in line with industry guidelines.

•       Assist with rack build and wiring under the direction of a Lead Technician or Project Manager — equipment mounting, cable management, and patch-bay termination.

•       Support commissioning and functional testing, including basic device configuration, network connectivity checks, and verification against approved designs.

•       Read and work from technical drawings, block diagrams, cable schedules, and as-built documentation.

•       Maintain accurate daily site diaries, materials records, and timesheets, submitted to your Project Manager same-day.

•       Follow all WHS obligations, site induction requirements, and Vega’s safety procedures at all times.

About You

•       Some hands-on experience in AV installation — whether through an apprenticeship, traineeship, prior installation work, or a related trade background. We’re as interested in your attitude and trajectory as your years on the tools.

•       A willingness to learn fault-finding and read AV schematics, with support from senior team members.

•       Strong time management and attention to detail.

•       A commitment to doing high-quality work, every time.

•       Good communication skills and the ability to work well both in a team and independently.

•       An interest in building long-term client relationships and understanding quality, environmental, and WHS management systems.

•       A current Construction White Card and valid driver’s licence.

What We Offer

•       A genuine growth pathway — Vega is expanding and promotes from within.

•       Hands-on mentoring from experienced Lead Technicians and Project Managers.

•       Exposure to major commercial AV projects across Sydney.

•       A competitive entry-level salary with scope to grow as your skills and responsibilities increase.

If you’re looking to build a real career in AV with a company that’s going places, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now.
