About the Role
As an AV Installation Technician at Bower Technology, you’ll play a key role in the installation and configuration of commercial AV systems. You’ll work on modern meeting spaces and collaboration environments using technologies from Crestron, Logitech, Cisco, Yealink, Biamp and Q-SYS. You’ll work alongside experienced AV professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and supporting each other to deliver great outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure AV systems including displays, projectors, LED walls, speakers, microphones, equipment racks, and structured cabling.
- Set up and commission Microsoft Teams Room environments.
- Test and troubleshoot systems on-site and remotely.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of installation and service work.
- Represent the company professionally while working with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial AV installation or service.
- Good understanding of AV equipment and workplace technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to read construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills.
- White Card, valid driver’s licence and basic hand tools.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- AV industry certifications (e.g. CTS, Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, etc.).
- EWP and Working at Heights Licences
- Blue Card
- Open Cabling Registration
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals.
