DSP

The DM8500 DSP is equipped with a comprehensive library of processing modules that can be deployed and configured using DM Designer software. This easy-to-use software allows the entire signal and processing structure to be defined and compiled right on your PC – and then run within DM8500’s robust onboard DSP. Processing modules include: dual redundant Dante/AES 67 compatible 64×64 network audio transport; ULTRANET 16 channel digital audio transport output for use with compatible devices; 24 freely assignable wideband AEC processors; class compliant driverless USB audio In and Out; 16GB SSD media record and replay engine Mixers; Auto Mixer; Equalisers; Feedback Suppression; a variety of audio filters, and much more. ACOUSTIC ECHO CANCELLATION

Office spaces, boardrooms and conference centres are often constructed with only a passing consideration regarding acoustics. Surfaces are typically hard, such as glass, painted walls, and even steel and stone, all of which can trigger reverberation and echoes that can make a teleconference less than optimal. The DM8500 uses its wide band AEC module to detect and eliminate secondary room reflections from the signal path, so all participants enjoy the highest quality sound – whether the content is speech, music, or multimedia.

AUTO MIXING

Applications such as meetings, conference calls and courtrooms require the use of multiple open microphones, which means special attention must be given to input gain setting and feedback elimination. Or, you can let the DM8500 Auto Mixer and Feedback Suppressor modules do the heavy lifting for you. Easy to set up and use, DM8500 Auto Mixer modules automatically adjust and balance levels for multiple inputs and combine them into a single output. The onboard Feedback Suppressor behaves much like a highly-surgical parametric equaliser, detecting and removing feedback frequencies before they can become an issue.

IP-BASED AUDIO NETWORKING

128 channel dual redundant Dante/AES67 audio networking is fitted as standard – no cards or extra cost to add. Up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs can be configured, using the Dante Controller application to route this audio in real time on your network, or by using the Dante routing engine embedded in DM Designer at the design stage.

MASSIVE CONNECTIVITY

DM8500 provides massive connectivity, allowing you to build designs that simple audio systems cannot match – and it does it in a manner that is both intuitive and robust. Connections include: 10 high-headroom analogue universal mic/line inputs; 6 electronically balanced low impedance line level outputs; class compliant USB audio for integration with soft codec based conferencing systems; and a 16 channel ULTRANET digital audio transport output for use with compatible devices.

ESSENTIAL ACCESSORIES

A variety of compatible products are available to help you take your DM8500 to the next level of versatility. The CP8000UL or CP8000EU can easily add simple control over volume and selection for up to 6 inputs. The DM TCE offers a programmable network based wall control panel with colour touchscreen and encoder. Need even more? SYSTEM SOLUTION

DM8500 also features embedded control modules for compatible Lab.Gruppen network amplifiers, allowing native amplifier control and monitoring from within DM Designer and from our control panel application, DM Kontrol.

Once control panels have been created, DM8500 can make use of its HTML engine to serve control pages to any networked device, wired or wireless simply by navigating to the DM8500’s IP address, via a password challenge if desired. No additional device apps required.
