Audinate leads the world in networked media with our “Dante” technology which is used extensively in professional audio & video applications, including live events, broadcast, entertainment venues and communication systems.

What you’ll be working on
Audinate is looking for an outstanding Product Manager and business owner for our AVIO product line.
The role will work in collaboration with internal stakeholders to translate company strategic objectives and OKRs into the product strategy, get endorsement of that strategy and then manage execution of the AVIO Business, with responsibility for overall P&L and margin.
The role will be responsible for defining all aspects of the business plan including go to market strategy, product design, build and manufacturing strategy and pricing/margin management.
Responsibilities

- Translate corporate strategy and OKRs to AVIO product strategy and get buy in from key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain financial models for AVIO business, including tracking of success metrics, profitability, margin etc
- Define and get buy in for go to market strategy including sales model, distribution strategy, channel strategy etc.
- Define and get buy in for design and build strategy including evaluation of build/buy/partner/outsource options.
- Build and manage the delivery of the product roadmap to fulfil strategic objectives.
- Be the voice of the customer within the company.
- o Collaborate with sales to understand and engage with existing customers.
- o Develop understanding of new customer requirements and use cases.
- o Convey understanding about customers within the organization.
- o Document and support market understanding through the creation and curation of a market model.
- Full lifecycle product management (ideation, execution, and delivery to market, in-life management, and maintenance to end of life)
- Stakeholder management – both internal and external. Key interactions include Strategic leadership group, market intelligence, engineering development functions, exec leadership team.
- Release definition – covering improvement requests, maintenance, major new features, and new products.
- Communicate product vision, positioning, value proposition within the company.
- Outward voice representing product portfolio. e.g., sales calls, customer presentations, conferences, tradeshows etc.
- Maintain understanding of competitive landscape and produce competitive overviews for sales and marketing.
- Pricing and margin management
- Manage the transition to the next generation of AVIO products including encryption and video.
Requirements

- Experienced at managing hardware products including 3rd party design and manufacturing.
- A history of successful execution in a product management role with responsibility for a P&L
- Background in taking products to market via a channel model.
- An exceptional communicator can share and represent a vision both within and external to the company.
- A collaborator, able to build and steer consensus, to bring people along.
- Experienced working with data and analytics to develop product hypotheses, draw conclusions, and build a case for action.
- High degree of EQ, adept at managing complexity
- Comfortable operating with incomplete and changing information. Able to make decisions and provide leadership in this environment.
- Able to successfully work with and influence the Engineering and Operations functional groups to deliver the roadmap, including where outsourced resources are used.
- Affinity for the end user, able to advocate for the user at critical moments.
- Able to represent a different point of view inside the company.
- Technically literate, able to communicate with all stakeholders at the right level.
- International Experience with products and markets broader than the Australian market
- More than 5 years of experience in product management
- AV industry experience or an interest in audio/video technology is desirable.
