AVIXA seeks an experienced marketing manager from the technology industry for planning and implementing AVIXA’s marketing in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Director of Marketing, as well as the key sales and business development stakeholders based in Australia, India, and Asia, to both grow AVIXA’s audience and keep the community engaged.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

The APAC Marketing Manager will design and implement integrated marketing and communications plans which maximize awareness of AVIXA as the hub of the AV industry. Elements of these campaigns may include, but not be limited to, marketing automation, videos, newsletters, web pages, printed collateral, press releases, advertising, editorial placements, case studies, and social media engagement.

  • For the various APAC audiences, regionalize and communicate the AVIXA brand value and create supporting marketing materials and web content.
  • Manage the Association presence at the Integrate (Australia), InfoComm India, and InfoComm SE Asia trade shows, including but not limited to developing collateral, booth strategy and execution, promotion of Association activities at the shows, handling logistics. For Chengdu and Beijing, the RMM will support AVIXA’s educational presence as needed.
  • Develop and manage relevant regional social media sites and channels.
  • Working with AVIXA marketing staff, plan, design and execute marketing and communications campaigns aimed at reaching out to new audiences in IT.

Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or international business strongly preferred
  • Experience level – Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably within an international marketing environment, in the technology industry
  • Technical skills – Proficiency in Salesforce and Pardot, including list targeting to maximize engagement with email promotions
  • Language skills – Fluency in both spoken and written English. Ability to effectively present information to management and colleagues.
  • Other Skills – Experience in leads management and audience development preferred.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to develop new processes which encourage collaboration at the ideation phase of each project, and which ensure consistency between the content plans and the program as finally delivered.
  • Strong knowledge and management of Social Media platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Diplomatic skills: the ability to influence and build consensus among both internal and external teams.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the various cultures around the region.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Administrative skills: the ability to both develop and manage an international budget and ensure that vendor relationships are efficiently and productively managed.
  • Willingness and ability to work remotely in a home office environment, as well as travel internationally to AVIXA and other industry events (anticipated travel time 5%).
  • Excellent writing skills and the know-how to use content marketing.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, international formats, vendor negotiation and management, publication development, marketing materials development, marketing workflow and processes, brand adherence, list compilation and rental, postage requirements, direct marketing, online marketing, database extraction for marketing to specific target audiences.
