The International Technical Sales Manager will manage and support international sales activities to ensure that sales and profitability targets are met within a territory encompassing Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. The ITSM will work with existing distributors to grow sales and develop new markets and distributors.

We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual who excels at working independently. This remote, work-from-home position will be managed from our US headquarters. While our preferred location is Sydney, we are open to considering candidates across Australia. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, capable of maintaining and existing client relationships while actively seeking new opportunities. Candidates will have strong technical expertise and be comfortable providing application advice and basic troubleshooting support for local clients.

The position involves 25-50% travel throughout the territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide leadership and direction for international distributors to ensure they establish and achieve annual sales goals

· Establish, communicate and measure KPIs in quarterly meetings to drive distributor performance

· Identify and onboard new distributors in underserved markets or areas requiring enhanced representation

· Leverage industry organizations, networking opportunities and trade publications to creatively identify new distribution partners

· Provide product demonstrations, presentations and training for distributors, integrators, end-clients, and consultants either in person or online

· Support and negotiate large projects in cooperation with the internal design team and VP of International Sales

· Prepare quotes and price lists with support from internal teams and advise distributors and dealers regarding product lead times and availability

· Maintain and update opportunities and client information in Salesforce CRM

· Identify and help provide marketing support needs for distributors to assist their promotional efforts

· Participate in strategic planning sessions remotely or in-person locally or at the US headquarters

· Maintain a strong understanding of territory trends and requirements and communicate these region-specific needs to inform product development and marketing strategies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or technical/engineering field

· Minimum of 5 years of sales experience managing a distribution channel

· Authorization to work in Australia with extensive international experience

· 3-5 years of experience in Audio-Visual (AV), Music Industry (MI), Information Technology (IT), electronics or related industry

· Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate/divisional objectives and quotas

· History of developing strong and strategic relationships with B2B partners

· Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, sales and marketing automation tools and platforms

· Advanced understanding of technical products and services relevant to the industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Language skills in addition to English highly valued

· IT network experience

· Degree in International Business

· Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

Must be able to travel on long flights, sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment for long periods of time. Periodically, lifting of heavy audio-visual equipment (50lbs/25kg) will be required.
