Your Role

Are you passionate about cutting-edge workplace technology and delivering seamless user experiences? We’re on the lookout for a proactive and technically savvy Workplace Technology Operations Lead to join our dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day operational excellence of our Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs) and broader Audio Visual (AV) infrastructure across our offices in Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. You’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our collaboration tools run smoothly, reliably, and efficiently—every single day.

As the Workplace Technology Operations Lead, you’ll oversee governance, service delivery, and performance of AV services, while leading a high-performing BAU engineering team through both proactive improvements and reactive incident management.

This role sits within our Workplace Technology Experience team—a group dedicated to enhancing productivity, collaboration, and workplace intelligence through innovative AV solutions, space analytics, and smart technologies across a global portfolio.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be: –

  • Leading the day-to-day operation and performance of AV systems across a multinational workplace portfolio.
  • Acting as the escalation point for incidents, driving RCA,
  • Collaborating with internal teams to implementing proactive monitoring solutions, optimise AVoIP network flows, plan firmware lifecycles and improve documentation standards.
  • Providing Engineering leadership whilst supporting the Manager with prioritisation, vendor management, and roadmap initiatives.

This is a permanent opportunity, ideally based in Gadigal country (Sydney), though we’re open to considering candidates located elsewhere in Australia.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in AV operations or service delivery roles, ideally in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Poven experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, ideally with experience deploying and supporting Logitech and Crestron MTR systems.
  • Experience with QSC DSPs, Crestron Control, and QSC VisionSuite.
  • Solid grasp of multicast networking and AVoIP protocols, including Crestron NVX, Dante and AES67 for troubleshooting across networked AV environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IT architecture, networking fundamentals, enterprise security, and regulatory governance requirements
  • Relevant AV Industry Certifications or Qualifications will be looked on favourabily (CTS, QSC Level 2, Crestron DMC-E-NVX, Microsoft Teams Room Technical Badge)
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow for incident queues, and administration of Configuration Items (CIs).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; able to translate technical complexity into operational clarity.
  • Some Experience in people leadership or technical mentoring roles within an engineering or support context will be beneficial.
