AP Technologies to launch IBT ‘IPBaseT’ solution

AP Technologies, exclusive distributor of Aurora Multimedia in the ANZ region, will use the Integrate Expo this year to launch the IBT Series AV Distribution Solution. The innovative IBT Series combines the flexibility of AV over IP with the simplicity of traditional point-to-point HDMI extension. The IBT Series allows users to create powerful, scalable AV matrix systems with no networking experience required.
Unlike conventional AV over IP systems, the IBT Series uses a standard network switch solely as a matrix to connect IBT devices together – it’s not network-connected and there’s no complex configuration or specialist IT knowledge required. With plug-and-play simplicity and minimal setup, it offers a low-cost, highly scalable 4K60 4:4:4 matrix system that anyone can deploy.
At the heart of the solution are two transceiver models: the IBT-1-BX (box) and IBT-1-WP1 (single-gang wall unit). Each device can be configured as either a transmitter or receiver, with addressable routing from 0 to 255. Whether used point-to-point, as a distribution amplifier, or in a full matrix configuration, the IBT Series adapts with ease — capable of scaling up to 255×255 configurations over standard network infrastructure.

Set-up is refreshingly straightforward: units are assigned as transmitters or receivers, connected via standard CAT cabling or fibre, and controlled using simple multicast or RS-232 commands – just like a traditional AV matrix. Aurora provides a list of recommended switches, ensuring seamless, out-of-the-box operation.
