MEDIALINK CONTROLLERS GO SLEEK

Extron’s new MLC 55 range of MediaLink controllers have been released with redesigned dual colour backlit buttons that can be custom labelled, and magnetically-attached faceplates that hide the mounting screws and configuration ports. Designed as economical and easy-to-use keypad controllers for common AV functions such as power, input selection, and volume in single display applications, the new models include unidirectional RS-232 and IR display control, and discrete On and Off display power controls.

“Extron MediaLink button panel controllers have a proven record of simplicity and reliability in AV applications worldwide,” says Extron sales and marketing vice president, Casey Hall. “The new MLC 55 Series offers stylish, full-featured configurable control for single-display presentation environments.”

The four models in the range are:

MLC 55 RS – can be mounted in a standard one-gang junction box
MLC 55 RS VC – mounts in a standard, two-gang junction box; features larger volume knob for smooth, precise control for Extron MPA Series and select XTRA Series amplifiers
MLC 55 RS EU – designed for mounting in a two-gang EU junction box for the European market
MLC 55 RS MK – designed for mounting in a one-gang MK junction box for markets including the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong

The MLC 55,62,64 series configuration software provides fast and simple setup via USB when combined with one of ready-to-use RS-232 or IR device drivers available on the Extron website. The configuration programme and these four controllers also support IR Learning, for creating new IR drivers from the handheld remote of a source or display device.
