MINIATURE DMX DIMMERS

RC4 Wireless displayed two new products at PLASA. The LumenDimM4 from RC4 Wireless is a miniature wireless DMX receiver and 4-channel DC dimmer for use with LumenRadio CRMX transmitters. It provides full RDM support. Each dimmer handles up to 50W at 12V and the device operates from 6V to 30VDC, to a maximum total load of 16A. Over-temperature and over-current shut-down provide protection again wiring errors and load faults. Any DMX channel can be assigned to any dimmer, with a choice of non-dim, linear, or ISL curves for dimming. RDM is used to configure DMX channel, dimmer curve, pwm frequency, and smoothing (response time) for each individual dimmer output, and RDM sensors monitor battery voltage, internal temperature, and total device current draw, including minimum and maximum readings. In comparison, the LumenDim4 dimmer handles up to 150W at 12V and the device operates from 6V to 30VDC, to a maximum total load of 40A. More information can be found at www.theatrewireless.com
