POLYCOM COLLABORATION SOLUTIONS

Polycom has announced three additions to its portfolio of video, voice and content collaboration solutions to accommodate the evolving workplace.

Polycom EagleEye Producer is a camera innovation that advances facial recognition technology to create a more natural, production-like experience. It dynamically finds everyone in the discussion and automatically frames them for clear view – even when new people join or leave the room. When used with Polycom’s RealPresence Group Series solutions and RealPresence Resource Manager software, it reports data including the number of participants at the start and end of the meeting, and the total time each attended, to help administrators with planning (video below).

Polycom NoiseBlock technology is also new to the RealPresence Group Series and Collaboration Server solutions, and automatically eliminates extraneous noises such as paper shuffling, crinkling food wrappers and keyboard typing from interrupting conversations.

For users on the go, Polycom Acoustic Bubble technology, available in the RealPresence Desktop video collaboration software, automatically removes unwanted noise from a call, including background conversations, city street noise or other peripheral sounds, without the end users needing to hover over the mute button.

Both NoiseBlock and Acoustic Bubble are shipping now, and EagleEye Producer is expected to be available from the end of January. Polycom’s RealPresence mobile application for smartphones and tablets is also available now as a free download from iTunes and GooglePlay, and the RealPresence Desktop is available for download on the Polycom website.
