BenQ’s newest compact DLP short throw projector, the TH682ST, offers Full HD native resolution, 3000 ANSI lumens brightness and a high contrast ratio of 10,000:1 for full screen presentations regardless of ambient light levels.

The projector can be placed within a metre of the screen, making it ideal for education and small business use, and supports video formats including 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p as well as Blue-ray Full HD 3D functionality.

SmartEco technology ensures energy efficiency and power savings over competitive models, BenQ says. The exclusive technology detects the input content to determine the amount of brightness required for optimum colour and contrast, determining the most efficient settings for the environment and saving up to 70 per cent of lamp power consumption.

The new projector is available this month for $1399 (inc. GST).
