Tascam has announced the SD-20M, a simple-to-use solid-state recorder at an accessible price. The 1U rackmount includes a pair of microphone preamps with phantom power for direct microphone recording. Both the mic inputs and line inputs can be recorded simultaneously in four-channel mode. The genius dual recording mode captures a copy of your audio at a lower level, as insurance against distorted takes.
Also new from Tascam is the VL-S3BT Bluetooth-enabled compact studio monitors with three-inch woofers and rear-ported design.
The company has also released a Blu Ray player and recorder for the installation market called the BD-01U that builds on the success of the DV-D01U. The 1U player also supports DVD, WAV, MP3, DTS and Dolby playback at up to 130% speed. Balanced outputs are provided.
