Staging Connections has been appointed the exclusive in-house AV and event services supplier for the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) — the 35th major venue contract awarded to the audiovisual company in the past 12 months.

After a competitive tender process, Staging Connections won the contract to provide technical solutions for the 80–90 days of sporting events and all corporate events at the famous sporting venue. The MCG is Australia’s largest sporting stadium, offering an array of function spaces and conference facilities, with award-winning catering by Epicure.

Tim Morgan, General Manager Venues, Staging Connections is delighted with this major achievement and excited to deliver spectacular events at the MCG. “We are proud to be able to add the MCG to our collection of world class venues across Australia. Our team excels in delivering the full breadth of event services, including total event management, audio visual solutions, styling and theming, set design, plus the latest in digital, webcasting and social media services.

“Our team are keen to work closely with sporting clubs to enhance match day experiences, and work together with in house catering provider Epicure to design and deliver the very best corporate and social events,” said Morgan.

Stephen Gough, CEO, Melbourne Cricket Club commented on this new partnership. “We welcome the opportunity to work with a new event partner offering event services beyond audiovisual and technical services. Staging Connections provide engaging event solutions and have a global reputation for delivering high-quality client outcomes.

“This partnership builds on our commitment to delivering an enhanced customer experience at the MCG, whether on match day or at our functions and conference events during the year,” said Mr Gough.
