AV Installation Technician

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join a growing Brisbane based technology business as an  installation technician delivering audio visual integrated systems. As technician, you will work in small teams (2-6) installing AV systems on site. You will also have the opportunity to run smaller projects on your own. You will be involved in projects from start to finish and your tasks will include cable pulling, cable terminations, rack building/installation, mounting displays, videowalls, projectors, microphones and speakers. You will also assist with system commissioning and testing and trouble-shoot any issues with system functionality. There will also be occasional maintenance and service visit on existing AV systems. Client sites include schools, government department offices, private businesses and new-build commercial building sites. Projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas, with occasional travel further afield in Queensland. Ongoing training and development with career progression opportunities.

Skills Required

Strong practical AV installation skills and a hands-on approach. Experience of cable-pulling and audio visual equipment installation is essential. Knowledge of AV technologies such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, Crestron, Yealink, Logitech and Neat  would be ideal. Experience liaising with clients and other trades on site would be useful, as would experience working in a site-based team.

A small team, you will enjoy autonomy and responsibility, with direct support from the founder (an AV Engineer and Programmer) and experienced AV techs on site.
