City Recital Hall curates and presents our own contemporary programming activity of approximately 40 City Recital Hall Presents performances per year. We are home to five major classical presenters and have a busy calendar of hirer activity that is supported by in-house event and technical teams.
We are seeking an experienced senior Head of Technical whose leadership capabilities and vision drive excellence and innovation across all technical production disciplines. Bringing extensive experience in audio systems and operation for contemporary music concerts, the role oversees the provision of lighting, staging and audio-visual operations to ensure performance-readiness for premium acoustic classical and amplified contemporary music concerts.
To be successful in this role you will have 5+ years senior leadership experience in technical management in a live performing arts context. You will have proven success in supporting creative excellence and managing staff, particularly of a pool of casual staff, across a range of technical disciplines.
The Head of Technical manages the planning, budgeting, procurement, maintenance and suitability of technical systems and advising on innovation and cutting-edge technical solutions. The role is also responsible for the recruitment, training and development of technical staff and trainees.
