About the role
As a Resident Service Technician, you’ll be part of a small team of AV specialists at a recently-built venue, offering a diverse range of tasks. This is a fast-paced tech company with outstanding employee facilities, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Richmond train station. Your role will involve everything from supporting the client’s Zoom meeting spaces to managing AV for internal events like Town Halls or external guest speakers.
The client is seeking a mature, confident presence who can handle challenging situations and provide reassurance to employees at all levels, including senior executives. Your natural hospitality and high level of customer service will ensure clients feel well-supported and confident. You’ll have extensive experience with videoconferencing equipment and be adept at running meetings on Zoom, Teams, and Webex, as well as troubleshooting client laptops and media. You’ll seamlessly transition between providing concierge-level service and diving into technical tasks, such as diagnosing issues with AV racks.
This is a full time Monday-Friday role working 8.00 – 4.30 with some potential for paid overtime on occasion. Familiarity with ticketing system ServiceNow would be a bonus. Gaps in your experience will be assessed and training provided where required, but AV experience is a must.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting high-priority meetings and events
- Fault Finding of AV, VC and ICT
- Resolving technical issues
- Reporting on AV activities
- Training the client on AV, VC and ICT
- Liaise with reception, IT and facility teams for booking requirements, facilitation and cross training.
- Understand and effectively communicate the full range of services to users and clients.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience as an AV/VC onsite technician in a similar role
- Highly experienced with Zoom, Teams and Webex
- Experience with audio video & IT equipment systems
- Strong practice in PC & laptop operation and basic networking skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Working with Children Card or willing to hold one
- Current National Police Check or willing to undergo a check
- Technical certification or diploma in a relevant field would be highly regarded
