Due to anticipated growth, we are currently looking to engage a Senior AV Consultant to join our NSW team. Our Technology Systems (TS) team are highly qualified, experienced and collaborative professionals who are client focused on delivering cutting-edge, innovative solutions for our clients in the AV, ICT, Security & Smart Buildings fields. The TS team forms part of our broader Specialist Disciplines group who are housed within our industry-leading, 900+ Property & Buildings (P&B) business line.
What You’ll Do:
- Actively work with clients to develop their technology strategy and masterplan
- Actively work with clients and wider project team on AV technology implementation
- Actively client-facing, maintaining strong business relationships and running small-to-medium scale projects;
- Serve as the primary point of contact and consultant for clients, understanding their audio-visual needs, and proposing innovative solutions.
- Design and develop audio-visual systems, ensuring they meet client specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on audio-visual equipment, software, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure seamless implementation and installation of audio-visual solutions.
- Conduct thorough system testing, troubleshooting, and post-installation support to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in audio-visual technology, attending relevant conferences and seminars.
- Carry out project and engineering work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards for all scales of projects;.
- Work on local, national and international projects
About You:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent industry experience and knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Audio-Visual Consultant / Integrator / Technician with a focus on designing and implementing complex AV systems.
- Profound knowledge of commercial audio-visual technologies, including AVoIP, projection systems, video walls, electroacoustics, server-based control, integrated control systems, and networked AV solutions.
- Understanding of ICT networks and network based AV technologies.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for AV design, integration, and installation.
- Demonstrated capability in writing reports and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design) are highly desirable.
- Healthy track record of running smaller scale projects (medium scale would be advantageous).
- Thorough working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AVIXA, BICSI, AS/NZS, NCC etc.)
- Proficiency with Visio and EASE (knowledge of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP would be advantageous)
- Capacity to effectively handle competing priorities, prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with all internal/external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication and ability to work within a team environment
