EPIPHAN ANNOUNCES THE AV.io 4K

Epiphan’s new AV.io 4K joins the brand’s family of ‘video grabber’ products that capture and scales video at resolutions up to 4096×2160. 4K UHD capture allows for 30fps, whereas you can get up to 60fps with Full HD 1080p. The hardware upscaling capability allows you to capture a source at low resolution and output it at a higher resolution, even up to 4K. Downscaling is also supported, so you can tailor it for your application.
The AV.io 4K doesn’t require any configuration — Epiphan says Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems will automatically detect it as a capture device. It’s compatible with a range of software including Skype, Wirecast, and QuickTime.
