The VIA 3.0 software update features a refreshed user experience and interface across all VIA platforms including the web portal and client applications. The intuitive layout is optimised to enhance user workflows across new meeting needs, such as remote working and hybrid learning scenarios.

Integrated with Kramer VIA Versa functionality, participants can drive a meeting from their own device. Launching on their laptop their preferred video-conferencing session from Zoom, or Teams, or Google Meet, users can seamlessly and wirelessly connect and control the in-room devices, including microphones, speakers and other video conferencing AV peripherals. VIA Versa has now been added to the VIA Campus models of the family and has been enhanced with additional audio and video selection options for higher flexibility.

VIA makes it simple to live stream sessions to all the leading platforms, like YouTube, Kaltura, and Panopto. Educators as well as presenters enjoy all the benefits of VIA’s full suite of advanced collaboration tools, while in-class and at-home participants enjoy an immersive experience, ideal for the Covid-19 era, thanks to the new RTMP/RTMPS protocol support out of the VIA box.

At the back end, VIA Site Management (VSM) has also been revamped to offer a new user experience, with a lot of great additions for easier and faster VIA device configuration and supervision. Much focus has been put on redesigning the Digital Signage module which now offers the simplest scheduling of dynamic content, intuitive drag and drop usage, and a more visual orientation – guiding the user through the experience, highlighting key steps and interactivity points.

Introducing VIA GO2

In addition to the VIA 3.0 software updates, Kramer has also just launched VIA GO2, replacing its existing VIA GO. The ultra-compact VIA GO2 packs a powerful 4K HDMI output and secure content sharing, and is perfect for hidden installation behind displays.

Easy wireless sharing is enabled from any device by using either the VIA app, a web browser such as Chrome or FireFox, or simply using standard Miracast or Airplay protocols, directly from the built-in wireless capabilities of the VIA device.

The move to VIA Site Management on Cloud

Configuration and connectivity for all device and platform management has also been moved to the cloud through the introduction of VSM on Cloud. This maintains the same great features of being able to monitor and manage multiple VIA devices simultaneously from a centralised location. No VPN is required when having devices spread over different physical locations or different networks, offering an optimised solution for global deployments. The move from a server to the cloud removes the requirement to host a local server in the customer’s data centre and is a more cost-effective option for businesses.

These updates are focused on improving the user experience for hybrid learning and remote home working, making engagements online, optimising touch free interactions in the workplace and enhancing productivity through advanced connectivity solutions. Providing a cost effective and scalable solution ideal for upgrading any meeting, educational or training space with new levels of user experience, simplicity, and productivity.
