Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria’s courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria’s Supreme, County, Magistrates’, Children’s, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group’.

About the Role

AVC Technology supports the in-court technologies and audio visual needs, including video conferencing, evidence presentation and transcript recording within Victoria’s Courts and Tribunals.

The role is responsible for supporting the IT administration of both AVC Technology and Victorian Government Reporting Service (VGRS) network, servers and computers, including associated systems and applications used by Courts and VGRS.

Working in conjunction with the AVC Technology Systems Administrator with the day-to-day operation and provision on AVC Technology services.

The key aspects of the role includes but is not limited to:

  • Performing system administration duties when required for Active Directory Services, management of network, servers, and computers.
  • Providing a client desktop support for AVC Technology and undertaking immediate response to issues affecting court sittings.
  • Providing expert advice and support to users and other technical staff and performing advanced problem-solving analysis and diagnosis to resolve technical and operational service delivery issues.
  • Providing support and services specifically in relation to AVC Technology systems and facilities (including transcript production infrastructure) consistent with AVC Technology service delivery priorities and standards.
  • Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.

About You

  • Experience in a level 2-3 helpdesk environment.
  • Demonstrated experience to provide system support including problem diagnosis and resolution, training, and information services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network operating systems, equipment and protocols.
  • Experience with application management, packaging, and deployment.
